Just Doubles
Indoor Tennis Tournament
January 8-10, 2010
Tournament Site
Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center, Duke University, Durham, North Carolina. Other outdoor sites may be used, weather permitting, as necessary.
Events
Men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles will be played. Players may participate in a maximum of two (2) events; one (1) Men’s or Women’s Doubles and one (1) mixed doubles.
Entry Fees
METC members: $25 per METC player per event
Non-METC members: $28 per player per event
Deadlines
There are two deadlines – please read carefully!
1) All entry forms and payments are due by Saturday, January 2, 2010.
2) If you would like to purchase a parking pass, your registation and payment must be received by Monday, December 21, 2009. Parking passes will be mailed to players prior to the tournament.
NO PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON-SITE DURING THE TOURNAMENT. If your entry fee is not received by January 2, 2010, you will not be permitted to play. This will be strictly enforced!
Parking
Parking near the tournament site for the entire weekend is available with the purchase of a parking pass. Passes are $10 per car. To purchase a pass, include payment in your entry fee and return along with the entry form. Payment must be received by Monday, December 21, 2009 to ensure that you receive your parking pass. **If you do not purchase a pass, you are responsible for your own parking and getting into the tournament site.
Player Social, Friday January 8, 2010
Join us for a player social of FREE indoor tennis play on Friday evening, starting at 8:30 pm. The social is open to all tournament players and refreshments will be served.
Tournament Start Times
Matches may begin as early as 5:30 pm on Friday, January 8; and as early as 8 am on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The Draw
The draw will be available on Thursday, January 7, by 11am. The draw will also be posted on www.metctennis.com. Players can also contact the tournament director, John French at French@westwoodtennis.org or 707-628-2333, for first match times. It is a player’s responsibility to find out match times.
Awards
Trophies will be awarded to all champions and finalists in the main draw.
T-shirts
Each player will receive a long sleeve t-shirt.
Refreshments
Food will be provided for players during the tournament on Saturday afternoon, January 9. Snacks will be provided throughout the tournament. Refreshments will also be provided at the Player Social on Friday night.
Rules:
· USTA rules will prevail. No-Ad scoring will be used if needed.
· The default time for a match is 15 minutes and will be enforced.
· Best 2 out of 3 sets with 12-point tiebreaker at 6 all. 10-point tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a full 3rd set.
· Warm-up time is limited to 5 minutes.
